Leadership Development

Leadership development can be customised to your requirements and can include workshops as well as one to one coaching.

Over the years I have been on many different leadership development programmes. Most programmes were very good and I would have given good feedback but the Leadership Challenge stands out. I have never forgotten the learning points and I still remember several ‘ah-ha moments’. For the first time I had specific feedback on how my team, and others around me saw my leadership. This feedback gave me specific things to action to improve myself as a leader. Later follow-up was affirming that the actions I had taken had made a difference.

I credit Kouzes and Posner’s Leadership Challenge as transformational in my leadership journey and can provide coaching using the Leadership Practices Inventory (LPI®) 360.  The LPI® instrument is a tool to help you gain perspective into how you see yourself as a leader, how others view you, and what actions you can take to improve your use of ‘The Five Practices’ which research has demonstrated, make for more effective leaders.

Kouzes and Posner’s Five Practices of Exemplary Leadership are:

  1. Model the Way

  2. Inspire a Shared Vision

  3. Challenge the Process

  4. Enable Others to Act

  5. Encourage the Heart

The Five Practices of Exemplary Leadership approaches leadership as a measurable, learnable, and teachable set of behaviours.
